Job Location Fort Walton Beach, FL Title: EMI/EMC and Analog Design Engineer Position Summary Design engineer responsible for EMI/EMC test and certification of new and existing products, cable / wiring harness design, and analog or RF circuit design. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for EMI/EMC certification of new and existing products Performs EMC/EMI technical assignments independently and/or coordinates the work of other engineers in the professional technical analysis, design or test on functional systems of company products requiring the full use and wide application of established engineering principles, theories, concepts and precedents in the field plus a working knowledge of other related disciplines, (i.e. mechanical and electrical design concepts). Provides EMI/EMC systems engineering guidance to other engineers Perform EME analysis of airborne electronic systems, design control measures, define verification/test methods, create verification test procedures, conduct system level testing, and create test reports Travel as required to support product test and qualification Analog and RF circuit design Cable and Wiring Harness Design Create test procedures and write test reports as required by program Participate in peer reviews, design reviews and technical interchange meetings with customers Basic Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years experience MS in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable Working knowledge of military standard MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464 Experience with cable and wiring harness design Strong organizational skills in the planning, formulation, and execution of design projects from the requirements definition stage through customer buyoff including cost and schedule Must be a self starter and able to work in a fast paced environment Experience with electronic and system level design Must be a “hands-on” engineer, able to learn to operate products and aid in test and troubleshooting Must be able to specify, calibrate, and operate EMI/EMC test equipment Must be familiar with Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project for design documentation Must be able to organize and clearly communicate complex technical information to non-engineering personnel and have strong technical writing skills. Must be able to give oral presentations to customers to support technical meetings Must have excellent communication skills and be able to create and maintain strong working relationships within multiple functional areas of the company Perform any other responsibilities required by the job Additional Desirable Skills and Knowledge Familiarity with military programs and specifications Working knowledge of RTCA DO-160 related to Electromagnetic Environmental Effects.
